CJ grew up in the tough streets of Los Santos, San Andreas. He was raised by his mother, Beverly Johnson, and his sister, Kendl Johnson. His father, Melvin "Big Smoke" Walker, was a prominent member of the Grove Street Families gang. CJ always looked up to his father and dreamed of becoming a respected member of the gang.
